Took a much-needed impromptu trip to Cabo here nearing the end of October.
It was certainly a bittersweet trip. I was just married, as you know if you follow me, on September 15th. We were supposed to take a honeymoon to St. Thomas for a week of relaxation, but Hurricane Irma destroyed our resort. Unfortunately, it turned out that it was for the best, as my father’s conditioned worsened, and my presence was needed. We lost my father on October 1st.
It was a time of highs and lows, to be sure. Thankfully, Ali and I were able to slip out to Cabo for a few days to unplug as best we could.
We stayed at the Villa del Palmar in downtown Cabo, near all the action like Slim’s, The Office, Hacienda and the other local fare. We mostly sat by the pool, read, and did our best to relax. We did make the trip up to Toro for some delicious food, of course, and had a wonderful time. It was a mostly quiet trip, but I felt the need to post about it simply for my own documentation of my travels.
Dad loved Cabo, and it was only fitting that we spent a few days there in his memory.
