IRS Data: How The Rich Got Rich

Today’s article of the day comes to you guys from INC.com, titled How The Rich Got Rich.  When I saw the headline, I thought to myself, “here is another copied and pasted article about generic financial concepts”.  But what I found was quite unique.   The IRS released its annual 400 Individual Tax Returns Reporting the Largest Adjusted Gross Incomes.  INC broke this down deeper, and to have the data behind the perspective made it very powerful.  If you’re an entrepreneur, or aspire to be wealthy, this is a fantastic perspective on where you need to put your focus.  Documentation always beats conversation, and this is one of the best examples I’ve seen.

I love this article.. just another form of proof that working until you retire, investing in your 401K.. small stocks, etc… won’t get you the wealth and freedom you want. At least that I want:) College grads are taught to work in Corporate America, make the “smart investments for our futures”, but ultimately, without the risk, there is no actual reward. This is the average plan, not the plan to achieve great wealth. Thanks for sharing!
